Canton Arms

The Canton Arms is an award-winning gastropub in Stockwell serving seasonal British food with serious culinary ambition in a relaxed, welcoming setting. Since opening in 2010, chef patron Trish Hilferty and Charlie Bousfield have built a strong following for their daily-changing menu using exceptional produce - Tamworth pork from Swaledale Foods, wild line-caught sea bass from Mersea Island, and Salt Marsh lamb for their famous seven-hour braised shoulders. The kitchen makes everything from scratch, including house sausages, charcuterie, and fresh bread baked daily.

Customers particularly love the quality of the cooking, the well-kept real ales, and the constantly evolving natural wine list sourced from organic and low-intervention producers. The pub has been a fixture in the Top 50 Gastropubs awards since opening and won Hardens Best London Pub in 2021.
