5. DFF Score Methodology

Our Dog Friendly Finder (DFF) Score is a proprietary rating system based on our team's professional evaluation of venues. The score is calculated using a weighted algorithm across multiple factors including dog amenities, food quality, service, atmosphere, and value. DFF Scores represent our honest opinion at the time of review and may change over time. These scores should be used as a guide and not as the sole basis for your dining decisions.

6. Featured Listings & Advertising Disclosure

6.1 What Are Featured Listings?

Featured listings are paid promotional placements where venue owners purchase premium positioning on our platform. All featured venues display a clearly visible "Featured" badge to indicate their sponsored status.

Featured listings are a form of advertising and are subject to the same editorial standards as all other venues on our platform.

6.2 Benefits of Featured Status

Venues with featured status receive the following promotional benefits:

• Priority placement in search results and venue listings
• Visible "Featured" badge on their listing card and venue page
• Enhanced visibility throughout the platform
• Analytics dashboard access to track engagement

6.3 Pricing and Billing

• Featured Listings cost £99 per month (plus VAT)
• Subscriptions are billed monthly on a recurring basis
• Payments are processed securely via Stripe
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled by the venue owner

6.4 Editorial Independence & Consumer Protection

Featured status is purely promotional and does not influence our editorial content:

• DFF Scores are objective: Featured status does not affect our Dog Friendliness Score (DFF Score) or review content
• Same evaluation standards: All venues, featured or not, are evaluated using the same criteria based on amenities, facilities, and dog-friendly features
• Editorial independence: We maintain complete editorial independence. Payment for featured placement does not guarantee positive reviews or higher scores
• No pay-for-review: Reviews and ratings cannot be purchased, only promotional placement
• Clear disclosure: All sponsored placements are clearly marked as "Featured" to comply with UK Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008 and ASA Advertising Standards

6.5 Non-Featured Listings

Venues without a "Featured" badge are standard organic listings. These venues appear based on relevance, location, our search algorithm, and editorial merit—without any paid promotional benefits.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content (excluding user-submitted content), features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of Dog Friendly Finder. This includes:

• The Dog Friendly Finder name, logo, and branding
• The DFF Score methodology and algorithm
• Reviews, photographs, and venue descriptions created by our team
• The website design, layout, and user interface

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works of our content without our express written permission.

8. Third-Party Links and Services

Our Service may contain links to third-party websites, services, or booking platforms. We are not responsible for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites. When you use third-party services (such as restaurant booking systems), you do so at your own risk and are subject to their terms and conditions.

9. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING:

• Warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose
• Warranties regarding accuracy, reliability, or availability of the Service
• Warranties that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free
• Warranties that defects will be corrected

10. Limitation of Liability
